Memphis Youth Symphony Live Score 2026

We're very excited to announce our first ever live score collaboration with The Memphis Youth Symphony. This series of short film scores will be performed live to picture during the Spring of 2026 at The Scheidt Family Performing Arts Center.

About the Project

In connection with the Master's in Film Scoring program at Berklee College of Music, this project combines a love for cinema, film music and music education. "Having spent several years as a music educator myself, collaborating with the youth symphony for this project is going to be particularly special for me. I always knew I wanted to be involved in teaching in some part, but my journey as a composer was far less expected. Seeing those two parts of my life collide now, it just doesn't get any better than that."

Founded in 1966, The Memphis Youth Symphony Program serves as the premiere youth symphony program in the Mid-South, consisting of seven large ensembles, multiple chamber ensembles, and a student advisory council. The development and planning of this collaboration would not be possible without the support of the MYSP executive director Jenny Davis and youth symphony conductor Kyle Dickson.

The films selected for this project were provided by The Cue Tube and The Blender Foundation

In addition to performing a series of live short film scores, the MYS will also perform several pieces that were originally composed to be recorded by Budapest Scoring as part of the Master's in Film Scoring program at Berklee College of Music.

Live Score Featured Films

These films were carefully selected from the diverse library of unscored pictures provided by The Cue Tube and The Blender Foundation.
